One dead, another injured in fire at St. Paul homeless encampment
One person was killed and another injured in a fire at a homeless encampment in St,. Paul.
The fire at the camp on Shepard Road was reported around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. Paul Police Department said.
At this time, there are no details as to how the fire started, nor have any arrests been made.
However, St. Paul Fire Department did note that "multiple propane tanks and heaters" were found near the site of the fire.
Homicide and arson investigators continue to look into the incident.
The victim has not yet been identified. The injured person was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
