A man has died after being found with gunshot wounds in the Warehouse District of Minneapolis early Sunday morning.

A report of shots fired was received at 1:49 a.m., with police sent to the area of Washington Avenue and North 1st Avenue.

There they were flagged down by a person who directed them to a man in the road, who had no pulse and wasn't breathing.

Despite life-saving efforts, the man died shortly after being taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Minneapolis police say that the preliminary information they have is that it "may have been traffic related."

People at the scene were interviewed and leads generated, but nobody is in custody at this time and there's no information about a potential suspect.
