One person has died and two have been injured after shots were fired in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis Friday evening.
An ambulance was flagged down on the 2100 block of Riverside Avenue, with paramedics finding two gunshot victims inside the vehicle.
One of them was already dead, while the other was suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police established that the victims were related to an earlier report of shots fired on the 300 block of Cedar Avenue, not far from the University of Minnesota's West Bank Campus.
Another person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound then turned up at Hennepin County Medical Center, having been involved in the same incident.
Details of the victims haven't been released at this stage by police, with spokesman John Elder only saying that they're adults.
Officers spoke with several witnesses in the area who may have seen or heard something.
The dead person's name will be released at a later stage by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
