Woman, 73, dies in Anoka County house fire

A 73-year-old woman has died after life saving efforts Monday

One person has died in a Linwood Township house fire Monday morning, according to authorities.

Officers responding to a fire in the 8400 block of 239th Lane Northeast, west of Stacy in Anoka County, found a 73-year-old woman who was not breathing.

She was transported to Fairview Hospital, where she was pronounced dead after life saving efforts, according to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.

The Linwood, East Methel, Wyoming and Stacey-Lent Fire Departments extinguished the fire.

The case is still under investigation by the Linwood Fire Department, Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, the state Fire Marshall’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
