Pedestrian fatally struck by driver in Brooklyn Park

The identity of the victim has not been released.

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle just before 10:30 p.m. Friday in Brooklyn Park. 

Brooklyn Park Police Department says the crash happened at 10:24 p.m. on 85th Avenue North at Stratford Crossing. Police arrived at the scene and immediately began CPR on the victim until Brooklyn Park Fire and North Ambulance paramedics took over the life-saving efforts. 

The victim, however, did not survive. The individual's identity has not been released, nor has any information about their age and gender. 

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. 

No further information has been provided.
