Pedestrian fatally struck by motorist in Isanti County

A woman was fatally struck by a motorist in Isanti County on Friday night, according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol. 

The crash report says the fatal collision happened on Hwy. 47, north of Hwy. 95, in Wyanett Township, which is located about halfway between Princeton and Cambridge. 

At approximately 9:30 p.m., a 45-year-old Hugo man driving a Ford F-150 was northbound on Hwy. 47 when he struck a woman whom the State Patrol said was standing in the northbound lane. 

The victim, identified as 57-year-old Michelle L. Shea, of Onamia, died at the scene. 

The motorist was not impaired, the State Patrol noted. 

No further information has been released.

There were at least four other fatal crashes on Minnesota roads Friday-Saturday.
