Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Interstate 394 in the Twin Cities

The person's condition is unknown.

Two lanes of Interstate 394 have reopened after an early morning collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. 

According to MnDOT, the left two lanes of I-394 westbound were blocked off around 5:30 a.m. because of the incident near Louisiana Avenue in Golden Valley. A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene for air care but the injured pedestrian wound up being transported to a hospital by ambulance. 

The extent of the person's injuries are not clear. The victim's identity and what led to the crash is also unknown. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
