Person hospitalized after fall from cliffs near Mississippi River in St. Paul

The cliffs overlooking the Mississippi River near Ford Parkway in St. Paul were the site of a dramatic rescue Saturday morning. 

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office announced the operation on social media, saying they and at least three other agencies rescued "an individual who fell off the cliffs" just after 4:00 a.m.:

The person was taken to a local hospital; their condition is not known, and the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been specified, either.

St. Paul's fire and police departments as well as the Minneapolis Fire Department took part in the rescue.
