The crash happened at 1:24 p.m. on Oct. 1 on W. 98th St. at E. Bloomington Freeway in Bloomington.

According to the medical examiner, 103-year-old Josephine I. Jorgenson, of Jordan, was a passenger in a vehicle that was hit by another vehicle. Crash details beyond that have not been released, but Bloomington Police are investigating it as an accident.

Jorgenson was transported to the hospital and died Oct. 4 while receiving inpatient care at Hennepin Healthcare.

According to the Minnesota Department of Traffic Safety, 275 people have died on Minnesota roads so far in 2019. That's slightly down from the total (281) at the same point in 2018.
