Pickup driver killed in crash with semi truck in Anoka County

Police say the pickup driver crossed the centerline.

A pickup driver was killed in a crash with a semi truck early Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported just after 5 a.m. on Vikings Boulevard Northwest near Cedar Drive Northwest in the city of Oak Grove, Anoka County.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says early indications are that a pickup driver traveling westbound crossed the centerline, and crashed head-on with the semi-truck that was heading eastbound.

The driver of the pickup truck, a man, was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

The incident is under investigation.
