The pickup driver died in the collision. He has been identified as Jacob P. Gappa, 30, of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report.
A 45-year-old Melrose man driving the semi was taken to Lake Regions Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
