Police in Sherburne County have issued an alert for a 6-year-old boy who has been missing since Tuesday afternoon.

The sheriff's office says his name is Ethan and he was last seen near Highway 25 and County Road 16, northeast of Clear Lake.

He got off the school bus with his siblings and ran off to play with the family dog, but hasn't been seen since.

"He has blond hair, is wearing a light blue Becker spirit T-shirt, grey Becker sweatpants and blue hoodie with no writing on it," the sheriff's office said.

Call 911 if you see, hear or know anything.

KSTP has a live feed of the search effort, which you can find here.

Sherburne County Sheriff's Office says it's not looking for any volunteers for searching as of 9 p.m.

"We know there are many people who want to help and who are coming to the area where Ethan was last seen. Please avoid that area and go instead to a staging area at Palmer Park, off County Road 6 and 47 1/2 Street."
