Police: 7-year-old boy dies of gunshot wound to the head in Plymouth

A 7-year-old boy is dead after suffering a gunshot wound to the head, according to a news release from the Plymouth Police Department on Wednesday afternoon.

Details are few, but the department says officers were called to the 6000 block of Shenandoah Lane around 3 p.m. on a report of a child bleeding from the head. 

Rescue workers performed CPR but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
