Police: Assault victim stabbed multiple times with a pair of scissors

It happened Monday night in central Minnesota.

Two women have been arrested in connection with a central Minnesota stabbing with a pair of scissors.

The Waite Park Police Department said officers were called to 61 Arbor Street around 9:36 p.m. Monday for an assault.

At the scene they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police said the person "had been stabbed multiple times in the arm with a scissors."

Police arrested two women - a 46-year-old and a 30-year-old, both from Waite Park - on suspicion of second-degree assault. Authorities say the younger suspect also violated a domestic abuse no contact order, and has outstanding Department of Corrections warrants.

The victim was treated at the scene for her injuries, and did not need to be taken to the emergency room.
