Police have launched an investigation into the allegation.

Police in Prior Lake, Minnesota are investigating an allegation that a teenage boy secretly took photos of students and adults in a female bathroom.

Prior Lake Police Department says it received a report of secret recording in the girls' bathrooms at Hidden Oaks Middle School.

A subsequent investigation found that the 17-year-old boy, a student in the Prior Lake-Savage School District, had been taking videos of female students and adults not only at the middle school, but also at Prior Lake High School.

The recordings were made in areas of the school "where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy," police added.

The victims have been contacted and given access to counseling.

KARE 11 reports that the student is no longer enrolled in the school district, though at this stage no charges have been filed against the teenager.
