A man driving a stolen vehicle caused a head-on crash in east-central Minnesota Monday morning, according to the Wyoming Police Department.

Police say a 22-year-old man from Stacy, Minnesota, was driving a stolen vehicle on Forest Blvd. north of downtown Wyoming when he crossed over the center line and collided with another vehicle driven by a 46-year-old woman.

Both drivers were hospitalized, one via air ambulance and the other by ground transport. Police did not say which driver was airlifted, only saying both suffered "crash related injuries."

The 22-year-old is suspected of stealing the vehicle in Shafer, Minnesota, two hours prior to the crash.

Charges are pending, police say.
