Police identify the men killed after crashing the Lyft they carjacked in St. Cloud

The men allegedly stole a Lyft and drove it 112 mph before crashing into trees.

Authorities have identified the two men who died after crashing a stolen Lyft car into trees in St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud Police Department confirms that David Isaacs, 42, of St. Cloud, and James Parkos, 46, of Sauk Rapids, died after crashing shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

The pair had been picked up by a Lyft driver earlier that night, before threatening to kill him and then stealing his car.

The car then fled at speeds of up to 112 mph, before crashing into trees off of County Road 8.

St. Cloud PD says Isaacs was driving the vehicle and was taken the St. Cloud Hospital, where he died.

Parkos was ejected from the car in the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe they are the two men who had the earlier altercation with the Lyft driver, who called the police after fleeing his vehicle.

He was uninjured in the incident.
