Police say they suspect foul play in the death of a person found at an apartment in the Loring Park neighborhood on Monday evening.

Officers were called for a welfare check at an apartment in Loring Towers, 15 East Grant Street, just before 8 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a body inside the apartment, and "evidence found at the scene lead investigators to believe that this death is possibly a result of foul play."

At this stage, it's not clear how the individual came to die, and no details have been released about the victim.

These details are expected to be revealed in the coming days by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
