Police in Minneapolis are investigating a possible homicide after a man died after being found unresponsive at a Ventura Village apartment.

Police are called the property in the 1900 block of Park Avenue South at 3 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived to find paramedics performing CPR on the man after what was initially reported as a medical, possibly heart, emergency.

Their efforts were unsuccessful and the man died at the scene.

Another man at the scene was taken to hospital, with both him and the victim showing signs of physical injuries. The other man is considered a person of interest in the victim's death.

Officers have been interviewed people in the area who may have seen or heard something, and police are asking anyone with information to call 1-800-222-8477.

The victim's identity and cause of death will be released at a later time by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
