Police investigating death in small town near Moorhead

Police in northwestern Minnesota are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on Friday morning.

The discovery was made on County Hwy. 39 near Borup at around 7:30 a.m., according to the Norman County Sheriff's Office.

Police say they don't believe there's any danger to the public, though are continuing their work determining the man's death.

According to the Forum News Service, the body was found outside one of two semi trucks – one of which had a trailer – that could be seen from the police cordon on Friday afternoon.

The sheriff's office told the news agency the man appears to have died from self-inflicted wounds, though the manner of his death has yet to be confirmed.

Borup is a small community around 25 miles northeast of Moorhead.
