Police investigating fatal shooting at south Minneapolis apartment complex
At least one person is dead following a shooting at an apartment complex in south Minneapolis.
This comes just a day after a separate shooting on the city's north side, which claimed the life of a man in his 20s early Thanksgiving morning.
Friday's shooting happened just after 2 p.m. on the 3100 block of East 58th Street, KARE 11 reports. That's just north of the Crosstown Highway near MSP International.
According to a tweet from Star Tribune reporter Liz Sawyer, the victim — who has not been identified — was shot following "an apparent domestic incident":
Sawyer also notes that if ruled a homicide, the shooting would mark the 79th homicide of the year for Minneapolis.
This far outstrips the city's total number of homicides in 2019, which was 48.
