Police investigating homicide after body found in motorhome

Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead in a motorhome in eastern Minnesota.

The discovery was made at a property on Royal Heights Lane in Royalton Township, about an hour north of the Twin Cities in Pine County.

"Deputies responded to the scene and found a man who was obviously deceased inside of a motorhome," the sheriff's office said.

The victim has been been identified as Scott Ness, 61, of no permanent address.

There is no information as to his cause of death, with that expected to be released following an autopsy.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has been called into help with the investigation.

"Investigators are working on a timeline surrounding his death and following up on any leads," the sheriff's office added.
