Bomb squad called to investigate suspicious device at Rochester parking ramp
The St. Paul bomb squad was called to downtown Rochester Tuesday morning after someone reported seeing a suspicious device at the 1st Street Parking Ramp.

The call came in just after 7 a.m. Tuesday, KTTC reports, prompting officials to evacuate the parking ramp and close down nearby streets, ABC 6 reports.
The St. Paul bomb squad arrived around 10 a.m. to investigate the device, which is described as having duct tape and a white cap, the Rochester Post Bulletin says.

By 10:30 a.m., the 1st Street Parking Ramp was back to normal – the bomb squad had left the scene and police tape was taken down.
No one was injured in the incident and police say there is no risk to the public, reports note.

The parking ramp is located near a few hotels, as well as shopping and dining establishments, the ramp's website notes. It is also a few blocks from the Mayo Clinic in downtown Rochester.
