Police are investigating a shooting at a strip club in St. Paul that left a man injured.

St. Paul Police Sgt. Michael Ernster says officers were dispatched to Lamplighter Lounge at 160 West Larpenteur Avenue just after midnight Friday after a report of a shooting.

Once at the club, officers were informed that a man left the scene en route to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

The victim, who has not been identified, showed up at Regions Hospital in St. Paul having been shot in the hip area, police say. The injury is not considered life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

What led to the shooting is being investigated.

It's not the first time trouble has been reported at the Lamplighter. In September last year, a St. Paul man was shot dead by a suspect from Illinois outside the venue.
