Police investigating shooting inside Spring Lake Park apartment

The suspected shooter is in custody.

One man is in custody and another man is recovering after a shooting inside a Spring Lake Park apartment Sunday evening.

A 911 call reporting a shooting was received by authorities at 7:14 p.m., with police from Spring Lake Park and Fridley responding to an apartment complex in the 8000 block of Buchanan St. NE.

The shooting was contained to a single apartment, where a 36-year-old Spring Lake Park man was taken into custody and a 33-year-old man was shot, although the Anoka County Sheriff's Office has not described where the man was shot nor how serious his injuries are.

Detectives are, however, working with the victim to "obtain further details" about the incident. Police do believe that the suspect and victim knew each other.

The shooting remains under investigation.
