Investigators are trying to determine how a 58-year-old woman died after her body was found outdoors in St. Paul when the temperature had dipped to 16 below zero, MPR News reports.

The woman had been dressed for the cold, and there was no immediate sign of foul play. A medical examiner will try to determine whether a medical condition led to her death and to what degree the weather played a factor in her death, MPR reports.

The body of the woman, who has not been identified, was found at about 7:30 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Yorkshire and Cleveland avenues, MPR reported.

There have been several cases of cold-related deaths in Minnesota this winter, including a Lakeville woman whose body was found on her doorstep by her sister.

In another case, also Monday, 55-year-old Gary Allen Kontz of rural Stewart, was found dead near Stewart. Investigators believe his car got stuck Sunday night and they suspect he tried to walk for help in minus-40-degree wind chills. His body was found Monday morning about 2 miles from his car.

A 54-year-old Embarrass woman was found dead earlier this month in her driveway, not dressed for the subzero weather. Investigators suspected a medical issue.
