Police in central Minnesota are investigating "potential criminal activity" involving at staff member of the St. John's Boys' Choir.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says it received allegations from youth members of the choir at St. John's University.

The St. John's Boys' Choir and the National Catholic Youth Choir say that a choir member accused an adult staff member of "misconduct involving communications and photographs that were sexual in nature."

The staff member has not been named, but has been placed on a leave of absence. They deny the allegation, and are cooperating fully with the investigation.

"St. John’s University is aware of the investigation and is cooperating," the Stearns County Sheriff's Office said.
