Police looking for school bus involved in fatal hit-and-run in Brooklyn Park

The driver didn't stop at the scene.

A person died in Brooklyn Park Monday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The incident happened at Humboldt Avenue and Meadowood Drive around 6:49 a.m., with police receiving a report of a person down in the street. When they got to the scene, the female victim had already died from her injuries.

Police don't believe that the driver who hit her stopped at the scene, and detectives are looking for help identifying a school bus that was involved in the incident.

The victim has not been identified and the case in under investigation by Brooklyn Park PD, the Minnesota State Patrol and Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.
