Police looking for suspect who lured woman in park, attacked her
Police in Lakeville are seeking help identifying a suspect who lured a woman to a secluded area of a park before violently assaulting her.
The incident happened 11 a.m. Saturday in wooded area of East Lake Community Park at 16700 Pilot Knob Road.
Per police, a woman in her 40s was "lured to a secluded area of the park by a male who said that he needed help with someone who had fallen."
When the victim went to help, she was attacked by the suspect, but was able to get free and ran from the area to get help. She was evaluated for her injuries at Ridges Hospital.
The suspect is described as a male of unknown race who was wearing a black stocking cap, and a black COVID-style face masks.
He also had sunglasses on, was wearing a black jacket, and black leather gloves.

Until the suspect is identified, Lakeville PD is urging people not to use the park alone, let a family member know where you'll be and when you will return, and bring a cellphone with you when out.
Police will carry out extra patrols in the area.
