Police have arrested a man in connection with the death of a 59-year-old man from an overdose in Minnetonka.
Police were called to a house on Pine Island Road at 8 a.m. Sunday to the report of an unresponsive male.
When they got there, they found the man had died from an apparent OD.
The man who made the 911 call, a 23 year old from Maple Grove, was at the house when police arrived. He has since been arrested on suspicion of second-degree manslaughter (culpable negligence).
He is being held in county jail awaiting charges. BMTN doesn't usually name a suspect before they have been charged.
Minnetonka Police Department says it's continuing to investigate the circumstances of the overdose and the 23 year old's role in it.
Hennepin County is expected to make a decision on whether to bring charges on Tuesday.
The identity of the victim will be released at a later stage by the medical examiner's office.
Though the details of what happened haven't been released yet, the Pioneer Press reports that prosecutors in the Twin Cities have been increasing the number of cases brought against people who have supplied drugs to someone who then overdosed.
