Police have released a sketch of a man wanted over an attack and attempted abduction of a 16-year-old girl in Coon Rapids Friday morning.

The girl was on her skateboard on a walking path in the area of Coon Rapids Boulevard and Coon Rapids Boulevard Extension when she "sensed" someone behind her, Coon Rapids PD said.

The man then "grabbed her, pulled her into the woods and sprayed her with pepper spray and tried to attack her."

The victim screamed, kicked and fought off the man, who then ran away into the woods.

Despite a quick response by police, who set up a perimeter in the area and deployed a K-9 and drones, the suspect was not found.
