A man found slumped over in a vehicle in Minneapolis early Sunday morning was dead from a gunshot wound, according to city officials.
Minneapolis Police Department reports that someone called 911 to report a person "slumped over in a car" on the 300 block of North Washington Avenue at 2:17 a.m. Responding officers arrived and noted that the man was "sitting in the car slumped over."
"As officers began to assess his condition, they realized the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound and was deceased," a release from Minneapolis police says.
The victim, believed to be approximately 30 years old, was "in the vehicle when he was shot," according to detectives, who also believe "the shot originated from inside the vehicle."
