A Bloomington was critically injured in what police are calling an attempted murder.
The incident was reported in a 911 call around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, with Bloomington Police Department sending officers to the 2600 block of 90th St. W. On arrival, police found a woman who was unconscious with signs of recent trauma.
Deputy Chief Mike Hartley said life-saving measures were performed at the scene and the victim was transported to M Health Fairview Southdale where she was listed in critical condition.
A 56-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested at the scene and booked into the Bloomington Jail for probable cause second-degree attempted murder. The man has yet to be formally charged.
Police say the victim and suspect are related.
