Police need help with 'suspicious death' after man found slumped over in minivan

The 51-year-old was found last Wednesday.

Police are looking for the public's help as it investigates the suspicious death of a man in Pequot Lakes last week.

Pequot Lakes PD say the local man, identified as 51-year-old Kurt Streiff, was found dead in his 1998 Dodge Caravan along Lilac Drive, north of Royce Street, on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Police had been called by residents who noticed Streiff slumped over in the vehicle.

"There are indications that concern us enough to call it suspicious at this point," the police department said. "This case remains open and active."

Anyone with information about Streiff or who saw his vehicle last Tuesday or Wednesday are asked to contact police at 218-568-8111.
