Police are looking for help finding a woman who went missing over the weekend, shortly before the severe cold snap that sent temperatures plummeting.

Bridgid Novotny Miller, 43, was last seen in Keewatin, Minnesota – between Grand Rapids and Hibbing – at around 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Seventh Street trailhead walking west toward Nashwauk, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Facebook page.

Since then, the mercury has dropped significantly, with temperatures in Hibbing falling from a high of 25 above on Saturday to a frigid high of 8 below Sunday, according to Weather Underground.

Police say Miller was last seen wearing a black hat, black gloves and coat, blue jeans with a belt, and white socks. She is described as 5-foot-5 and 170 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Police told WCCO they are concerned for her because of health issues coupled with the extreme cold that has swept the area, and asked residents to keep an eye out for any properties where Miller might have taken shelter.
