Police: Passenger offered candy trying to lure kids to car in Eden Prairie

It happened just blocks south/southwest of Eden Prairie High School.

Police are on the lookout in Eden Prairie after a report of a person attempting to lure kids to a car. 

The incident happened just before 6:45 p.m. Saturday near Evener Way and Hames Way, with a 911 caller telling police that a female passenger, possibly a teenager, offered candy in an attempt to draw kids to the vehicle. 

The vehicle has been described as a silver Toyota Prius with dark windows, with the suspect in question said to have been sitting in the back seat. 

There was no vehicle matching the description in the surrounding area when police arrived, but extra patrols were sent to the location as a precaution. 

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Eden Prairie PD at 952-949-6200. 

Evener and Hames are located south of Valley View Road, just blocks from Eden Prairie High School.
