One person has been injured in a shooting that happened outside a Brooklyn Center Walmart on Tuesday, police tell BringMeTheNews.

The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. near the store at Shingle Creek Crossing.

Cmdr. Garett Flesland says officers responded and found a person who'd been shot in the leg.

That person – who has not been identified – has been taken to the hospital. Flesland tells BringMeTheNews the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

As of 8:15 p.m., no one has been arrested. Police say they're working with detectives, speaking to witnesses and looking at video footage to figure out what exactly happened.

While a suspect has not been named, authorities say they believe the people involved did have some sort of relationship.

Following the shooting, Walmart managers decided to close the store for the night, Fox 9 reports.

Store workers tell BringMeTheNews it's expected to open again Wednesday morning.
