A worker delivering for Pizza Hut in Owatonna was robbed at gunpoint earlier this week.

Owatonna Police are asking the public for help if they know anything about the case in which the delivery driver was attempting to bring an order to an apartment around 10:10 p.m. Tuesday.

The delivery worker called police at 10:28 p.m. saying an unknown male who was standing by a building approached him out of the blue. The victim said the robber covered his face with a black or dark-colored towel and the barrel of the gun was clearly visible.

The Pizza Hut worker handed the suspect a bank bag with about $65 in it, at which point the robber took off running.

A canine unit from Faribault Police Department was brought to the scene but wasn't able to track down any leads or evidence of a crime.

The Pizza Hut employee noted that the suspect was about 6-foot-2, 150 pounds and was wearing a black mask, blue windbreaker and dark pants.

No arrests have been made, nor has a suspect been identified.

Anyone with information that could help police is asked to call 507-774-7220.
