Minneapolis police have released photos and other information about the man they suspect of abducting a 7-year-old girl last Saturday in the city, KARE 11 reports.

According to police, the man approached the girl as she was playing with some friends outside a home on the 3100 block of James Avenue North, and asked her to help him look for a lost puppy. The girl left with the man, but was dropped off in the area a few hours later.

The suspect has been described as a white male in his 30s, with a blotchy face. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket which had a gray or white stripe across the chest.

Police say he was driving a small or mid-size dark green car with four doors. The location where the girl was taken, presumably the suspect's home, had two large dogs – one white and one black, according to FOX9.

Police released several photos of the suspect that were grabbed from a video shot by a neighbor's surveillance camera, in hopes that someone will recognize him.

"We're asking for the public's help in identifying who this person is in this very horrific crime," said Deputy Chief Kristine Arneson, according to KARE 11. "We believe he is a very dangerous man and we need to get him off the streets."
