Police in Winona are searching for a possibly "armed and dangerous" man that is described as a person of interest in a fatal shooting in the city on Sunday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Winona Police Department, officers are looking for Lonnie Lavonte Keymone Hudson, 23.

They consider Hudson to be "armed and dangerous," and have warned the public not to approach him.

It's believed he may be with a woman named Tayesha Williams, of Hudson, Wisconsin, and her two children, aged 1 and 3, which the Star Tribune reports are also likely his children.

He is sought in connection with a shooting on the 1200 block of Gilmore Avenue at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, in which police say two men entered an apartment belonging to 31-year-old Adam Fort, who was then fatally shot, according to WEAU.

Hudson is described by police as black with a light complexion, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

He has previously lived in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Anyone with information should call Winona police on 507-457-6295.
