Minneapolis police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run incident that killed Jessica Hanson, 24, KARE 11 and WCCO report.

A 24-year-old man was arrested, KARE 11 reports. The man turned himself in, the Star Tribune reported. Charges were not yet filed.

The Uptown resident was hit at the intersection of West 28th Street and Pleasant Avenue South Wednesday night and died Friday at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Investigators did not have an accurate description of the vehicle, the Star Tribune reports. They believe the driver at the time of the crash was going faster than the speed limit and that the car did not have its lights on. Investigators also believe the driver ran a stop sign.

Hanson's family had pleaded with the driver to come forward and accept responsibility.

Hanson was not wearing a helmet, her friends said.
