A Minnesota State Patrol squad car was struck with what police believe is projectiles fired from a BB or pellet gun in Duluth.

A Duluth Police Department spokesman said the incident happened just after 10:20 a.m. Monday in the area of Central Avenue and 7th Street.

A state trooper, who was conducting a traffic squad, reported that their squad had been shot at and struck twice.

The trooper was not injured in the incident.

"We were not able to determine specifically where the shots originated and no suspect was located," Duluth PD said.
