Police are still looking for the armed intruder who ran into a Minneapolis high school on Tuesday, causing a lockdown and evacuation.

Minneapolis police was called to the area near Patrick Henry High School after passengers on a city bus reported seeing an armed male trying to get on the bus.

A squad car was nearby, with the suspect then fleeing from the bus and into the high school through a side door.

This prompted a lockdown in the school as officers descended on the building to conduct a thorough sweep.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder told GoMN he has not yet been located.

Description of the suspect

The suspect was described as a black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender build. He was wearing a puffy gray jacket and a brown beanie cap.
