Police: Suicidal person with gun shot by officer in Robbinsdale

It happened about 20 minutes before midnight Saturday.

An investigation led by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is ongoing following an officer-involved shooting in Robbinsdale over the weekend. 

Police responded to a report of a suicidal person around 11:35 p.m. Saturday in Robbinsdale. The person who called police met officers outside where the suicidal person had a gun inside a home on the 3300 block of France Ave. N. 

The person inside the home then came outside with the gun and was moving towards officers. The person ignored commands to stop and was shot by an officer. 

The individual was transported to the hospital and their condition is unknown. 

No further information has been released.
