Police: Teen jumped behind Willmar KFC counter, attacked workers
Authorities say a perturbed customer went behind the counter of a west-central Minnesota KFC and began assaulting workers.
This happened just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, Willmar police said in a news release.
They were called to the KFC on the 900 block of 1st Street due to an "out of control" customer, the release says, who "jumped over the counter and was actively assaulting the staff."
Police arrived and arrested an 18-year-old from Ortonville, who later told police a KFC staff member had "looked at him wrong."
The teen is being held on suspicion of fifth-degree assault, disorderly conduct, obstructing the legal process, and fourth-degree criminal damage to property charges.
Police also arrested a 40-year-old man, also from Ortonville, and are holding him on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process.
Only one worker at the KFC was hurt, and received just minor injuries.
