Police in Fargo are looking for the person responsible for some rather bizarre, movie-themed graffiti.

The name "Kuato" was found sprayed onto a building in downtown Fargo earlier this month, with police releasing surveillance images of the suspect they think is behind it.

"Kuato," for anyone who doesn't know, is the name of the resistance leader on Mars in the 1990 film Total Recall, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

At one point of the film, graffiti spelling "Kuato Lives" is shown, and it's later revealed that the resistance leader is an, erm, gross but telepathic mutant who is attached to the body of a human host.

Fargo PD is either not aware of this in its Facebook appeal, or is otherwise ignoring it completely, though one or two commenters picked up on the reference.

Police say the vandal caused thousands of dollars in repair costs to the building, and they are looking for help to find the perpetrator.

Anyone with information should call the anonymous tipline at (701) 241-5777.
