A report of shots fired led to a crash that injured one person in Minneapolis on Sunday.
According to Minneapolis police Sgt. Darcy Horn, officers were alerted to a shots fired report at 5 p.m. in the 3000 block of Clinton Ave. S. When they arrived on the scene, they found a vehicle crashed into a tree.
One person in the back seat of the vehicle was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center to treat injuries consistent with a motor vehicle crash.
"The driver of the vehicle was not on the scene when officers arrived and may have suffered injuries from gunfire, but that cannot be confirmed at this time," the police report says.
At least one bullet hole was found in the vehicle, according to KSTP.
An investigation into the shooting and crash is ongoing.
