A woman is believed to have been exposed to a toxic chemical at a park in Roseville during a custody visit with her ex-husband.
Roseville police said they responded to a domestic-related incident at Central Park, 2540 Lexington Ave., at 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, where they found a woman suffering a medical emergency.
She was taken to the hospital, where medical tests determined she was exposed to "some kind" of toxic chemical. Police did not say what kind of chemical, nor did they release her condition.
Police learned the woman and her children were at the park for a custody visit with her ex-husband. Following additional investigation on Thursday, police took the woman's ex-husband into custody.
The FBI Minneapolis Hazardous Evidence Response Team and the Minnesota National Guard’s 55th Civil Support Team were called to the park "out of an abundance of caution," where they determined there is no risk to public safety in the park.
