The Star Tribune reports Katherine Gordon told Edina police in July she heard voices she believed to be the devil. She asked to be locked up before she hurt herself or others. She was killed after a high speed chase. Police say she pointed a gun at the officer.

The CDC reports a child in Minnesota caught a flu strain known as H1N2. The virus is found in swine and this case is only the second known infection in the United States. The child has recovered, and the CDC says there's no evidence the virus has spread to other humans.

A woman suffered injuries to her face after a wild turkey hit her car traveling south on I-35 in Freeborn County. The Pioneer Press reports 66-year-old Mary Haukoos of Bricelyn was transported to an Albert Lea hospital with non-life threatening injuries Monday night.

Warrant issued for mom who left kids in hot car

A warrant has been issued for a mother accused of leaving three children in a hot car while she shopped for swimsuits at a Bemidji Target in June. Bianca Jean Hazelrigg, 21, of Bagley failed to appear before a judge Monday. According to the criminal complaint, Hazelrigg left three children inside her car with the windows rolled up in 88-degree heat, while one child was playing outside in the parking lot.
