Police are searching for the young men who robbed and threatened a woman on the University of Minnesota's Minneapolis campus early Saturday morning.

Authorities say the incident happened around 2:20 a.m. in front of Wulling Hall on Pleasant Street Southeast.

The victim – who is not a student – had been sitting on the steps when three men approached her, asking to use her phone, according to campus police.

When the victim refused, the suspects took her purse and threatened her.

The victim said she was calling the police, and the suspects fled.

The suspects have been described as black males, about 17 years old, all speaking with an accent.

One wore a gray hooded sweatshirt. Another had black curly hair and wore a black and red hooded sweatshirt. There's currently no description for the third suspect.

University of Minnesota police are investigating the incident.

If you have any information, call the campus police at 612-624-2677 and refer to case number UM-16-180840.
